MUPD personnel can be requested for security at events on the university campus. MUPD will make the final determination if officers are required for security at an event.

MUPD personnel may be requested for security at events on the MU campus. MUPD will make the final determination if officers are required for security at an event.

How to make a request

Complete the Services Request Form for university departments or groups or for non-university entities. You may also contact Lieutenant Jerry Armentrout by phone at 573- 882-5804 for services. Prior to calling or submitting a request please review the University of Missouri’s Event Security Policy.

Costs

Sworn Officer: $65/hour
Communications Staff, Security Officer, and Civilian Employees: $50/hour
Campus Safety Officer: $25/hour
Barricades: $50 per day per event (plus $50 if delivery is needed)
Cones: First 20 Cones are no cost; 21+ will be $50 per day (plus $50 if delivery is needed)
Electronic Signs: $50 per sign per day

Cancellations

Dances and related events must be cancelled at least 48 hours in advance to avoid charges. (see Indoor Social Events Policy)
All other events must be cancelled at least two business days before the event to avoid charges.

Payment

MU Departments: Charges will be processed by electronic Journal Entry, and notification of the entry will be sent by e-mail.
Organizations outside the university: A statement will be sent to the organization for payment by check.
