Security Officers are civilian employees and assigned to the patrol shifts under the supervision of the shift sergeants. Security Officers perform departmental functions related to routine patrol work by safeguarding campus buildings, property and personnel against fire, theft, disturbances, property damage and loss. Duties include providing safety escorts, building security, traffic direction for special events, emergency phone checks, transporting supplies, and other duties as assigned.
