Campus Safety Officers, or CSO’s, or part-time civilian employees that serve the Mizzou community like the rest of our department. CSOs are an important part of our team and assist us in provide security and traffic direction for campus events as well as overnight security for residence halls.
The Campus Safety Officers are essential for the success of event management, especially on home football and basketball games! Since CSOs are not required to complete Law Enforcement training or POST certification, they are not required to physically intervene in criminal activity; instead, we rely on CSOs to stay aware of surroundings and report suspicious activity.
Campus Safety Officers are entitled to the same benefits as other university part time employees. CSOs are not allowed to work more than 28 hours per week. Flexible hours available to work around your school schedule.
