Statement on Bomb Threat:

Approximately 7:01 p.m., April 22, the University of Missouri Police Department (MUPD) received a report from a worker in the Student Center that a male individual had called in a bomb threat for the coffee shop. MUPD, utilizing emergency beacons, desktop alerts and staff, evacuated the building. As a precaution, Memorial Union also was evacuated using emergency beacons, desktop alerts and staff.

MUPD called for assistance from Capitol Police in Jefferson City to provide an explosive K9 team. No devices were found and the scene was cleared.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol also assisted with traffic control and the department is grateful for the assistance from all responders.
