Statement on Arrest Related to Property Damage at Mark Twain Residence Hall:

Around 2:22 p.m., April 21, the University of Missouri Police Department arrested Bradley Michael Becker for Second Degree Property Damage as defined under Revised Missouri Statute 569.120. Second Degree Property Damage is a class D felony due to sentencing provisions under Revised Missouri Statute 557.035 Hate Crimes, which provide enhanced penalties for motivational factors in certain crimes.

He was arrested for his involvement with the anti-Semitic remarks found in a stairwell of Mark Twain Residence Hall on April 8 and April 10. Becker will be taken to Boone County Jail where he will be left in lieu of $4,500 bond.
