Update on Clery Release Sent 5/23: Arrest of Dominque Powell

On May 24, around 10:28 a.m., the University of Missouri Police Department arrested Dominque Powell, Date of Birth 04/13/1991, for RSMo 569.030 Robbery 2nd Degree, RSMo 565.090 Harassment to Frighten or Disturb Another Person, and RSMo 565.225 Aggravated Stalking. (See original release below.)

The University Police Department would like to thank the community for helping locate Powell. Working together we can continue to make the campus a safer place.

ORIGINAL CLERY RELEASE -- May 23, 2013

Information on incident reported to University Police

Around 11:38 a.m. on May 23, an officer from the University Police Department was dispatched to the University Hospital in reference to an unknown subject who demanded money from a female hospital employee and kicked her in the shin. The female victim called for assistance from Hospital Security and the male subject left the hospital and then the area in a vehicle driven by a second individual.

The male subject is identified as Dominque Powell with a date of birth 04/13/1991. Powell is a black male, 5'7" tall, and 165 pounds. Powell's mug shot from a previous arrest is available in the following:

Due to previous contacts with Powell and this incident, the University Police Department is providing this information to the community so they can make educated choices about their safety. Anyone with information on Powell is asked to call the University Police Department at 573-882-7201.
