Clery Release -- August 20, 2012


At approximately 11:35 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 19, officers from the University of Missouri Police Department responded to a report of an assault that occurred near the intersection of College Avenue (MO763) and Rollins Street. According to the female victim, she was assaulted by a black male around 11:30 p.m.

The female victim reported while walking westbound on Rollins Street she was approached by three black males walking eastbound on Rollins Street. One of the males made a derogatory comment. He then made a fist and struck her on the left side of her cheek. The males continued eastbound on Rollins Street after striking her.

The suspect was described as a black male, between 17 and 22 years old, wearing dark pants and a dark top. The other two black males were described as similar in age wearing similar clothing to the suspect.
