Clery Release -- February 26, 2012

STATEMENT ON REPORTED ROBBERY

At approximately 2:08 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 26, officers from the University of Missouri Police Department received information that the City of Columbia Police Department was taking a report of a robbery that occurred at the corner of Watson Place and the private drive south of the Miller Dental Office (904 Elm St.) around 1:30 a.m. on this date.

The victim described the suspect as a white male, 5’10”, 18-25 years old, clean shaven, and wearing a black Mizzou hoodie.

The University Police Department is providing this information to the campus per Clery requirements and to ensure the community has up to date crime information so they may make educated choices when it comes to their safety.

Anyone with any information is requested to call the City of Columbia Police Department or CRIME STOPPERS at (573) 875-8477. Individuals also may submit tips online at 875tips.com. Individuals may remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1500 if the information leads to an arrest.
